this a poem i wrote while in prison for the 1999 wto protest in seattle
listen to the fight go on, ive heard that sound before. i heard it in seattle, during the w.t.o. as they hurded us like cattle, past the fires that glow on that cold day the tear gas flew, as we battled it out with the boys in blue. with rage in my heart, and blood flowing from my ears, i fought the fight as my gas mask goggles reflrcted like morrors.
listen to the fight go on, i've heard that sound before. i heard it through the bars of king county jail, shelton prison, and walla walla state pen. where forgotten souls pound shanj and whale on each other, untill the final lights out in the lions den.
